George Manzuk Jr. Obituary

George Manzuk Jr., age 92 of Parma Ohio, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 10, 2024. He was preceded in death by Dolores (his beloved wife of 63 years); parents, George and Anna; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and John Magerko; and sister-in-law, Elinor. Survived by brothers Archpriest Myron (Paula) and Paul; also survived by seven nephews and four nieces, their ten children, a great-grandniece and many cousins.

George was a former Alcoa employee and served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He lived a full life with three passions in particular: his church, gardening, and all sports. He served as the church’s treasurer and sang in the choir for decades and enjoyed the camaraderie at his parish’s weekly fund-raising activities. He bowled and played softball with the “Huff-N-Puff” team through his 80’s and found pleasure in the weekly brunch get-togethers at Goodies Restaurant with his former teammates; he also looked forward to the fruits of his annual small garden.

Family will receive friends at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, 12711 Madison Avenue, Lakewood, OH 44107 on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Parastas on Friday at 7:00 p.m.

The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the church at 10:00 a.m.
